WOW!!!! This show is out of control, first they have Charlie Elderidge shoot House and then the rest of the episode is house hallunicating and going absolutely bonkers. Ultimate mind game/confuse the viewer, the writers can still pull out the tricks, keep the viewer so interested and confused! I can’t get over the exaggerated grotesque/absurd symptoms of the patient that House is attempting to treat… this show deserves the friggin’ Emmy! I seriously have a hard time choosing between Lost and House for my favorite Drama on TV, thank goodness they are on different nights!
On a related note… I tried to watch 24 last night (I know good timing, season finale) and for the life of me I don’t get why / how people can watch that show. I forced myself through 40 minutes then changed it to watch some DVR’d show.
I can’t wait until next season of House and I can’t wait until the finale of Lost (at least it’s 2 hours!!!).
It’s gonna be a long summer (thank goodness we have Hell’s Kitchen and maybe last comic standing).

I know most people I know/associate with could give a rip about World Cup or soccer… BUT I do! It’s probably a little known fact that I REALLY enjoy World Cup soccer! It’s probably because I’m a day-go wap! We are about 16 days away from the startWorld Cup 2006 in Germany.
WorldCup2006onTV is a cool website which lists when and on what channel for all 64 matches (it even has some basic javascript tricks).
This year ABC/ESPN/”The Ocho” will carry all 64 matches in HD!! I have all those channels (in HD) and a HD-DVR so I’ll be able to catch quite a few games this time! Lately I’ve been watching some Spanish League soccer on the WorldSport HD channel, and I must say soccer is a great sport for HD… the field is so large that the wide aspect (and extra definition) really compliment the sport well (especially when there are fantastic goal shots!) It’s also exciting to have a surround track with the crowd chanting for their team (in their language). You feel like you’re in the stadium!
My favorite team is Italy (FORZA! Azzuri!!) but my favorite country is USA and what gets me the most excited is they will meet on June 17th (my 27th birthday!). So I know what i’ll be doing during the first half (day) of my birthday! Fresh beer and a cool soccer match!
Makes me wanna see a new (live action) movie from him ASAP! I’m so not excited about The Fantastic Mr. Fox, come on Wes, Prove Me Wrong!
I strongly URGE you to try this!!! It’s quite impressive!!! Found a cool new Web Application called Pandora. It’s a streaming music player you put in your favorite artists and it trys to suggest other artists you’d like based on your ratings (also refered to as the Music Genome Project. I’ve just started to mess with it but so far its awesome! Their artist library is pretty impressive and the audio quality is not bad (~96kbps MP3). Here’s my profile page, i’ll probably add something to the sidebar of my site soon!
David Blane!
People who stand outside to watch him do his lame stunts!
How ABC squeezed 2 hours out of this crap show and the guy didn’t break the record!
Also I’d imagine watching this whole show would cause worse pain than holding your breath for 9 minutes and spending *177* hours under water!
In related TV news, NBC: First they canceled the last episode of Last Comic Standing last season, so we would never find out Alonzo Boden won (great move NBC), recently they canceled the last episode of Celebrity Cooking Showdown (ok, it was a lame show, but I still wanted to watch/skip through the final show)… NOW they are bringing back Last Comic Standing for a 3rd season and they’ve dropped Jay Mohr for Amthony Clark (of “Yes! Deer!”).
TV programmers are so stupid, do they expect us to try to watch this show again to have it later pulled? It reminds me of the Family Guy struggles Fox really did some lame moves with that show during (it was hard to keep track of when and what night it was on).
Thank goodness for DVRs and their *magic* skipping ability! Take that Blane!!
Thanks to recommendations from Nathan and Andrew I too have created a Last.FM profile. You can click here to see my profile or you can view the last 5 tracks I played at the bottom of the right column. ===========>
It’s a pretty cool idea and similar to EvokeTV except it works! I’m excited to see how it works after a few months of me sending track info.
This guy is INSANE!!! He is THE Ultimate collector!
Warning the link you are about to click will take minutes (5 or so on a decent connection!) to load…
I recommend you click it, walk away for a few minutes (make a sandwich OR use the restroom in that order!). When the page is fully loaded press your space bar to move the browser down a page at a time. It’s really worth the effort (I was crying)…
The last image is of a cabinet full of his wife’s collectables (apparently the only she’s allowed to keep!).
Well, I guess you’d have to have at least basic cable…
Tonight’s episode proved again that South Park spares no one when it comes to satire. In tonight’s episode Cartman (the fat kid) is out of control so his mom calls Nanny 911 and they do a quick but accurate spoof of that show and it’s characters. When Nanny 911 isn’t up to the task his mom calls in SuperNanny (again, brilliant “durp durp durp durrr…”). After both of these options fail, his mom calls in the Dog Whisperer (on the National Geographic Channel… who’s main character is an effeminate hispanic with a thick accent) who teaches Eric’s mom to treat him like a Dog…
What I find the most entertaining is Southpark’s ability to capture not only the visual likeness with simplistic animation, they pick up the annoying mannerisms and voices of the characters they spoof so well and they don’t hold back!
If you’re someone who is normally turned off by just hearing the name Southpark, give it a chance (it even plays on channel 9 now, a little censored) because chances are they’ve poked fun at something that has bothered you!
The month of April was a low post month for me (wow only 2?) I’m sure you all thought I was gone. Well, I’m here to say I haven’t gone anywhere and, I’m not promising anything but, I should post more in the coming month. Now on to the tutorial portion of this post so you can also learn how to lower your number of monthly posts.
First take work, and make it more workier (or busier). It’s true work has been busier (which is great!) and when you get to the end of the day it’s real easy to slip into to super relax-o mode (especially when you DVR as much crap as I do!)

left;” hspace=”8”>Next offer to babysit a keg-r-rator!!!! (the true reason for this self-deprecating post!). Yes a Keg-R-Rator!!! For those of you who don’t know what a Keg-R-Rator is or does… it’s basically a refrigerator which is either built to house a keg (of beer or any other brewed beverage which requires C02 propellant/carbonation) or a converted larger / older ordinary household refrigerator.
In my case it’s a standard mini-fridge which is just large enough to house a full sized (half barrel) keg of beer, a C02 tank, regulator hoses, and has a hole drilled in the top to allow a tower with a tap on the end of it.
After a few weeks of tweaking the control on the Keg-R-Rator I have the liquid temperature down to 37°. I’ve adjusted the C02 gas regulator to deliver the beer with about 8lbs of pressure which produces a slower pour and to minimizes the potential for an over-turbulent pour which can create too much undesirable foam (or head) in your glass. If the liquid is kept at a constant low temperature (sub 42°) it can last (stay fresh) up to 5 months. Also, keeping the liquid at a lower constant temperature will avoid excess gas / foam, and bacteria production (which makes the beer taste bad!) inside the keg.
I found an awesome place in Huntington Beach called Mr. Kegs and not only do they have a decent inventory they can order a wide variety of beers. I got the tap handle off of ebay to enhance the Keg-R-Rator experience! According to google, a full European Keg (13.2 US gallons) will provide roughly 105.6 US pints (always serve your beer a pint at a time!). Man, that is a lot of beer and I need help! Now you don’t have to purchase a full sized (1/2) keg there are also 1/4 kegs and pony kegs. I’m not sure which I will choose next, I may narrow it down to a few choices and put up a poll, or I may end up brewing a batch (thanks to Jason) of that ever so tasty Scottish Ale we made a few months back and put it into an old 5 gallon soda keg, allow it to ferment and use the C02 as propellant/carbonation. I’m sure whatever I choose I’ll keep you updated.

<justification>Now I realize this is excess (pure gluttony) but I feel I’ve been responsible with it and I try to get on the treadmill to walk off some of the extra carbs. Also my wife approves of it and I love her!!</justification>
Can What?? And, Who Is Stopping You?? I guess I don’t understand today’s boycott mantra being screamed today.
I listened to talk radio all day (thanks to KFI for providing local coverage and for not broadcasting Dr. Laura and limiting Rush to only 2 hours!!!) and watched live TV coverage every so often…
Some thoughts about today:
Early on was no big deal (maybe people went to work??), most businesses were not harmed (financially) and most freeways and roads were clear and enjoyable to drive. Paul and I ate lunch at Chipotle, they were open and served food (and weren’t too crowded)… the only indication of a boycott was the small note on the door asking for patience while they prepared our food today and the only delay came from the moron in front of us who couldn’t decide how much rice rice and sour cream (or creme fresh, you frenchy you) she wanted in her burrito. No big deal, what’s the point of this boycott?
Later (as people got off work) there were more people gathering to watch ‘Presidente Villaraigosa’ address his crowd… Watching and listening to interviews (or people screaming nonsense into microphones) of crowd folk was often hilarious.
Probably one of the most enjoyable events today was John and Ken (of their show on KFI ) being interviewed on FOX 11 News for being behind the counter-boycott / spend all you can. FOX 11 anchors John Beard and Christine Devine (who was very upset and had a nervous warbling voice) had them on only to battle their counter-boycott… what they didn’t know (because they obviously didn’t hear the hours before) is J&K were only going on to point out how biased (and negative) the TV coverage has been and to present the other side’s POV (positive effect the boycott / march had). Stuff like this never makes it on to the TV NEWS and it was funny to hear them try to hold TV news accountable and then to hear FOX field reporter Tony Valdez cut in just to push the reconquista movement… ON THE LOCAL EARLY EVENING NEWS (IN THE USA)! J&K were able to get tons of great statements out and I think they made the TV NEWS look lame, it was Awesome! I’m sure it’ll be on the KFI site, it was a pretty classic moment!
The whole boycott is pretty silly (and was ineffective to many)… I think the argument / tag line ‘A Day Without Immigrants’ is also lame (and probably didn’t showcase what they thought it should)… Isn’t the issue is over illegal immigrants not legal… In fact, most of my family is here as a result of legal immigration and they didn’t march! If you take shortcuts to get in, cheat the system and hide under the radar… you don’t deserve to be here legally (through amnesty), there are legal methods for a reason.
The boycott / march also proved that there are too many people in LA / SOCAL (probably because too many of them came here illegally) and it was nice to not have them around to cause our normal daily congestion. In fact the only negative effects I can see from this boycott / march would be the extra strain put on the police and the over-crowding (if you had to deal with it) in march areas. For most of us it was a great day!

left;” hspace=”8”>On a related note, Here’s a photo I took (a few days ago) which is a followup to the post I did about the last (lame youth) protest in downey… it looks like some of the kids ended up having to do community service in order to pay for ditching to protest (or hang out)… see kids I told you to stay in school stay! Sometimes living on downey ave is pretty fun!
