Last.FM

Thanks to recommendations from Nathan and Andrew I too have created a Last.FM profile. You can click here to see my profile or you can view the last 5 tracks I played at the bottom of the right column.   ===========>

It’s a pretty cool idea and similar to EvokeTV except it works! I’m excited to see how it works after a few months of me sending track info.

They’ve had some database issues lately where songs don’t upload or your totals don’t update, but it seems to work well.

I think it’s fun to see what your friends are listening to. It’s like never having to ask “what’s in your cd player” type of thing. I still don’t have enough to see who is in my neighborhood, so I’m looking forward to that.

I’m glad the time zone setting finally kicked in, so far it seems to work pretty good, i’m sure it can lag at times (being totally database driven)!

I’m using their player right now at school, the quality is actually pretty good, at least better than 128kbps mp3. Selection is random but you can narrow it down.
