Last night we went to a Halloween Party at the Yost house. Lori and I dressed up as Dog and Beth the Bounty Hunters (the couple from the hit basic cable show on A&E).

Lori put a lot of effort (and wash cloths) into making these costumes, and I think she did well! We had a fun time and here are some photos (I know others took photos so if I get them I’ll add them to this gallery.). Enjoy!

<LAME POST>
I love to shop online but I always thought there were a few things you just couldn’t buy (shoes, jewelry, cars, houses…) but I broke my rule and bought shoes from the Internet!

About 6 months ago I found a great deal on pair of Clark’s shoes. I’ve had my eye on them for a while but always resisted because they are so expensive… Well I went to Nordstroms to try on a few pairs to get the sizing down and then returned home only to find that the super good deal was gone. It bummed me out but I got over it.

Well recently I found a coupon for Shoebuy.com after browsing around I saw that they had a huge selection. This time I went to try on a few pairs of Clark’s over at the local DSW (yes they have man shoes too!) I got my sizing down and came home to order. Shoebuy has decent prices to start with, they don’t charge Sales Tax, Have a 110% low price policy, 60 day return policy free shipping (UPS Ground) and free return shipping. So with all that good stuff I applied a 20% off coupon and then I got another 10% on top of that.

My shoes came about a week later (after order processing and ground shipping) I tried the shoes on and they fit great, I’m so happy!

Over the last month or so, I’ve noticed my feet were hurting especially while trying to walk / jog with my wife (my old vans just are not cutting it anymore). So I decided to buy a pair of shoes after my recent super experience with shoebuy.com I decided I’d go to the old DSW to browse and return home to order. This time I ordered a nice pair of New Balance shoes and with all the super savings I’m about $20 cheaper than DSW.

I am super happy with my purchases and will use them again. If you are planning on buying shoes let me know because they have a refer a friend program or I can just send you coupon info!

Remember, go to DSW, try them on, then go to shoebuy.com for a better/risk free deal!

I don’t have much to say but I have to get it out… South Park is the most *relevant* show ever. Tonight’s episode was about Warcraft and a high-level renegade player who goes around killing people to stop them from finishing battles… the subtle (nerd) stereotypes/references all over this episode are priceless… This episode will become an internet/nerd classic. I nearly lost it when I saw the *super player*… Too much funny going on in this episode. If you’re a nerd, watch this episode I’m sure it’ll be all over youtube tomorrow. 10 Years later and I still laugh my ass off!

Follow the arrow to ============> Hedburgh.com, my current favorite site.
Normally I don’t write much about my current favorite site but this one deserves to be mentioned. It’s a tribute to the late (great) comedian, Mitch Hedberg. And yes the domain name is spelled wrong on purpose! The site has a lot of Mitch related content (audio, video, bootlegs!). It’s sad that he’s no longer with us, but at least we have some funny moments.
Please enjoy!

Just posting this to (finally) give *mad props* to Google on their recent upgrades to the fantastic Google Reader… if you don’t have a Google Reader (Gmail) account yet go get one (they are free)! If you don’t know what Google Reader is or why you should have an account I will explain.

All the blog, news and other sites with multiple posts a day often use a system called RSS (or Really Simple Syndication). For instance the RSS feed link to my site is listed at the very bottom of the page, some sites also use small graphical banners or use words such as (XML) FEED.

To use it (once you have a Google Reader account), is just copy the RSS/XML link, click Add Subscription in Google Reader. Do this for all your favorite sites (and even for their comment feeds if you care…) After you add feeds you can customize each feed’s title, tag your favorite posts and label things.
For advanced users there is a link in your goodies section of Google Reader Settings where you can you can drag a link to your bookmarks toolbar then when you browse a site and see a RSS link you want to add to your Google Reader account all you do is drag and drop the RSS link to the Subscribe Bookmark on your toolbar! You can also use Google Reader on your cellphone and other fun stuff!

Now when you login to your Google Reader account it will check all your defined sites and see if there were any new posts (or comments if you set them up) and you can read them in one easy location. If you want to comment yourself just click the little arrow and it’ll open up a new window with that post and you can comment.

Happy Reading!
