Apparently, we are supposed to bring a “White Elephant” gift as well as a real gift – at a $10 value - to give. I know that I probably will get a lump of coal again this year, but it still sounds like fun. Oh yeah, and we’re also supposed to bring some sort of tasty treat to share, ask Lori if you need ideas. So, Linus, be sure to spread the word… except, don’t tell Lucy… she’s mean!

Dominic's Labor Progress
- *We have made it HOME! Baby and mom are doing well, dad is too!
- *Dominic Angelo Alberico Born via C-Section: 7/13/08 at 05:56am, 9 lbs, 20.5 inches.
- *Baby's being tough... He's going C-section
- *26.5 hours and counting...
- *7cm! Full effacement. Estimates are 2-3 hours for delivery! Home stretch!!
- *Pushing session one last about 25min, taking an hour break while rotating sides to lay on. Pushing will commence after.
- *Very close, 9.5 cm, station 0/+1 estimate pushing to start in an hour!
- *still waiting, contractions are at 2 - 3 minutes
- *80% effacement, 2cm dilation, -2 station, starting the pitocin drip now to regulate labor and hopefully get the cervix to open.
- *Happy drugs are in and working... It's nappy time!
left;” hspace=”8”>My tradition has always been to start Christmas decorating the day after Thanksgiving which usually meant I’d put up lights and some decorations. This year, Lori and I followed this tradition in our apartment by putting up Christmas Lights and decorations. Sunday we picked up a Christmas Tree from All-American (the name is misleading) Home Center and we spent the better half of the day decorating it while listening to some Christmas music and since November in California has been well above 70 degrees I turned on a digital fireplace (screen saver) while we decorated to add to the holiday mood.
I know this is a bit early (it’s not even December yet) but we really felt like we should get our tree ASAP in order to get us into the Christmas spirit (we really need it this year) and to allow us to make up for the week we’ll spend on vacation.
Here are some photos of the decorating festivities this year. (We’ve nicknamed our misshapened tree Grimace, just like Ronald McDonald’s artistic friend.)
Did I mention that the Cat didn’t like the tree initially she hid in the cabinet but after a while she realized the tree was not here to harm her and she began to rub up on the tree and by bed time she was playing with the ornaments and running laps around the tree.
