Yep!!! We did!!! We put him down last night at 11:00ish and we all just woke up – 7 am!
God not only blessed us with a beautiful boy, he also blessed us with a boy that sleeps! Since the day he was born he’s slept good chunks of time. He had a couple of nights where he confused his days and nights but for the most part, his night stretches are getting longer. I think this is a side effect of getting formula, I’m told it’s heavier than breast milk. Or maybe he’s taking after mommy because i’m told that I was a good sleeper, too! Whatever the reason, we’re thankful!
Did I mention that our little rock star is only 18 days old??!
That’s wonderful!! I’d love to see him again…feel like a visitor this afternoon?

Congrats on Dominic sleeping thru the night.
I’m soooo jealous! Luke is 4/1/2 months old and doesn’t sleep 8 hours at a time yet. They do say formula keeps their tummies fuller for longer and also solid foods help with that, too. Luke has just started doing 5-6 hours straight on some nights. So what’s the magic touch???? :-)

the trick is to play with him when he is trying to sleep in the afternoon, but yeah, he is perfect!

Oh I don’t know that I have the *magic* touch! We’ve just been doing the same thing everyday since we’ve been home and have been taking advice from old pros…
- feed him every 3 hours (or sooner if he’s hungry) during the day, I wake him if its been longer than 3 hours or so…
- play with him/keep him awake as much as I can during the day
- try to give him his last feeding around 10:30/11 so WE are ready to go to sleep too.
- before last bottle, change diaper, put on jammies, swaddle him in his velcro “magic” blanket (Heaven sent!) and then feed him, he usually passes right out after he eats his last bottle.
- oh, and we only swaddle him for bedtime.
There, there are my “tricks.” Of course I dont actually know if any of that is contributing to the wonderful sleep, he could just be so totally awesome all on his own! :)

You forgot to mention that I tell him that he HAS to sleep at night, so we can sleep also!
