Today marks two months since Lori and I were given the greatest gift of our lives. Dominic’s been doing well. He is more alert/aware and often has periods of time where he’s entertained and content. He has been talking more (noises) and smiling a bunch.
Lori has started / completed her first real week of work while Dominic and I survived ME watching him on Monday and Tuesday.
Last night along with a few friends we made our first trip out to Disneyland!! We had a great time and were able to use the *Baby Swap* system which I very much hated having to offer while I worked there. Though, now that I’m on the other side of the fence, I understand why it’s a great system and I look forward to using it more!
On wednesday we will go for his 2 month checkup and we’ll get to see how much he’s grown, though it’s pretty obvious if you look at photos.

Little Fonzie! Aaayyyyy! Yo, Mrs A where’s the formula?

Getting bigger and bigger! What’s the baby swap system? We let our disney passes expire…but we still get the inkling to go every now and then.

Baby Swap is magic. It will work for sure on any attraction with a height restriction (they usually have passes ready) and you can ask on other attractions and the cast member will usually not balk (as I ALWAYS wanted to) especially when you have an infant!
Ok so you all go through the line, before you get on the attraction (or at the entrance / height check position) you tell the CM that you want to baby swap. They will hand you a pass allowing you to bring back one person to ride along with you. So you all go through the line together and before getting on the ride you stand to the side with baby (and a friend so you’re not lonely) and then when everyone else is done, you hand off baby and you and the waiting friend go on the ride either via Fastpass line or up the exit (usually spelled out on the pass).
Regarding Disneyland, we’ve all gone so many times that it’s kind of become boring. Now that we have a baby, going to the park is so much more exciting and fun. It will be awesome to be able to re-experience it all again through your child’s eyes, when he’s old enough to understand a bit more.
Let us know if you end up getting a pass again.
