These fires are terrible!
The only entertaining element to this whole situation are the reporters on the various stations. I’ve been watching all day (thanks to the magic of my slingbox) and I’ve seen various field reporters wearing odd items.
Most seem to be wearing at least some kind of Tyvek / yellow (fake) protective fireman’s coat. Being a Devo fan I am trained to be excited when I see a yellow Tyvek suit!
Some have taken it to the extreme by adding large SKI goggles and dust masks (which might not be a terrible idea if you’re in a smoke filled area). They will often interview people in the area who are dressed normal and they are dressed like they are from the future (or at least believe in Devolution!)
Then there was the one lady who just seemed to be able to take it one step beyond, she also had a HARD HAT! It was crooked and much too large for her head but provided for great laughs because she looked like the ultimate tool!
Again, the fires are terrible and not a laughing matter… the reporters, however are ridiculous and deserved to be laughed at and ridiculed for their lame costumes!
