Sometimes you can tell when it’s time for a baby to go to bed by just how crazy they are acting in the evening.

In this next series of clips shot over a 20 or so minute period (don’t worry it’s been cut down to under 4 minutes) we see Dominic steal the remote, return it to me, explain in his crazy language all about it, playing fall down, making his monkey play fall down and just being generally goofy and cracking himself up… It’s time for bed!

In this video, we have two clips of Dominic just after he wakes up from a nap, he’s usually very talkative and I believe he’s trying to tell us what he dreamed about. Though he’s speaking authentic Frontier Gibberish, It’s fun to watch how expressive and animated he is. To him he’s speaking the same language we speak.

In this video, Drive By Kisses, I had Dominic playing in the office but he was getting a little cranky so I asked him if he could go give mommy a kiss, true to form he stopped crying and then like a little remote control vehicle bolts out of the room around the corner to where Lori was sitting on the couch and gave her a nice kiss then he ran back in the office to continue playing.

Hi, it’s been a while, deal with it. :) Life has been busy (which has been great in many ways!) and now I’m on break for a weekish so I plan on catching up with editing photos and video and updating the non-facebookers with our life’s events.

Dominic is in Love (OBSESSED) with Monsters, INC. Here are a few clips of what he does each and every day (sometimes multiple times a day). I love the movie and I know it’s my fault for exposing it to him. It really is cute to see him dance, laugh at scenes, focus intensely on a scene, or tell us about something going on in the movie (in his own brand of authentic frontier gibberish).

Happy Birthday to me… Holy Crap! I’m now 30!?

I don’t really know how to process that thought/fact and I’m not sure why it (or what about it that) bothers me so much. I don’t really feel any older so I guess it’s just that I’m aging and inching towards the end that is the hardest thing to wrap my mind around.

Enough of that stuff… So I’m now 30 and life is pretty darn good.

I am blessed with an awesome wife and son who I adore and help to make life fun. I have a caring, supportive family I know that I can turn to for whatever. I have some great friends. I am part of a great church filled with good fun loving folks. I am also blessed to be in a thriving business I enjoy along with two great friends who help make the monotony of work tolerable.

Life IS good! So I guess I am achieving (or working towards) all that I have set out to do and can’t ask for much more.

Ok here’s a little more I can ask for… I love this little man, he makes me smile!

Warning this is video for parents, specifically Dominic’s parents. Therefore it may be boring to others!

It’s been about a month since I last put up a video of Dominic and I missed his 8 month post a few weeks ago. So here is a little slice of today’s activities with Dominic.

In the last day it seems like Dominic has figured out how to babble a bunch. If you know me, you know how much I love sounds so I’ve been digging his new little noises!

Currently he does the Da Da Dah, and the whisper version where he’s moving his mouth but not much sound comes out and then he does what we call “the old man voice” or “brando voice” which is a super throaty strange noise, as if he’s gasping.

Also not shown in the video is his crawling/scooting which still resembles a butterfly stroke but he does get up onto his knees more and will take *steps* from them if something is close and he wouldn’t have enough room to do the butterfly thing.

He is a fun baby to be with and often wakes up so happy and will spend the morning playing and looking over at me and smiling. I love this little boy so much and while I look forward to him growing up I know I’m going to miss this age!

Today Dominic woke up with a little upper respiratory cold but that didn’t seem to stop him from laughing like a CRAZY baby at me.

What a crazy little guy he is!

This morning we found out that Dominic has his first tooth poking out of his gums. We guess it decided to wait until he was 7 months old to appear. So far it’s just the tip and he’s been very interested and pushing on it with his tongue.

Probably nothing too exciting, but we’ve been getting a kick out of this.

Here’s Dominic’s latest thing/sound, he enjoys making raspberries. Some are small, some large and others go from cry to berry in an instant.

In the first series of clips we put him in his new car seat (which goes into my truck) in order to properly adjust it, he was in a bit of a bad mood and acting out a bit. So he’d started to make raspberries and occasionally they’d turn to a whine/cry.

In the second clip he was playing in his exersaucer and making his new favorite sound so I grabbed the camera and recorded his fun noises.

I am blessed and really enjoy staying at home with him the few days a week I get to.
